GitiCompete Drift 1’s Winning Formula at WDS, Hangzhou

GitiCompete Drift 1 Series, a proud product of Giti Tire, will reveal its winning formula at the World Drift Series in Hangzhou.

A drift competition is judged on the maneuvering ability of high powered cars that tail slide and hold the slide through a set of corners while maintaining the closest distance with the competitor. In essence, drift competition is about tire traction power and control, driver’s skill and engine horse-power.

The GitiCompete Drift 1 Series is specially designed to excel in drift competitions. The total construction of the tire in terms of carcass engineering, side wall reinforcement, compound and tread pattern with larger land ratio, are all designed to deliver optimum traction power (grip) and control in the dry for fast acceleration, efficient braking, cornering stability and maneuverability, whilst generating smoke effects.

The GitiCompete Drift 1 Series has 2 sizes, the 235/45 ZR17 and the new 255/35 ZR18. Although both tires are designed to deliver maximum traction and control, the 17 inch, with a relatively smaller tire diameter and narrower section width, is more suited as the front maneuvering tire. The new addition of size 255 / 35 / ZR18 has been specially designed to suit the rear wheel of the higher powered drift cars by providing increased traction, optimized footprint and grip for exceptional acceleration, handling, stability and braking during drifting maneuvers.

Giti Tire believes in promoting motorsport in China. This year’s drift events will see Giti Tire having 2 dedicated teams; one led by Mr. Chen Shui Meng and the other led by Mr. Li Zhen Ye. Both teams have tested and they are completely satisfied with the performance of the GitiCompete Drift 1 Series. And now, they are eager to prove the prowess of these purpose-made competition tires at the WDS in Hangzhou, 30th April – 2nd May 2010.

Join us there and cheer the GitiCompete Drift 1 Teams to a successful competition.
