In 2024, partnering with Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Giti Tire supports continuous workforce development. Through the partnership, practical, execution-focused sustainability courses are co-developed through the sharing of training programs and on-the-ground expertise. The goal is to equip employees—especially from SMEs—with the skills needed to implement ESG practices effectively.

In 2024, Giti China took meaningful strides in the local community by actively engaging in community-focused volunteer initiatives. Nearly 600 employees contributed a combined total of 2,963 volunteer hours, reflecting the company’s strong organisational commitment and the personal dedication of its workforce.

Working with the Indonesia Red Cross (PMI), Giti organised routine blood donation programs where 3,746 employees joined the blood drive to donate blood.

The Giti Sustainability Training Program is designed to enhance the skills of our employees, foster a transformative mindset, and cultivate a culture that aligns with the 3Ps: Profit, Planet, People. In 2024, the first Yellow Belt training for Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain teams in China was completed. Throughout the year, more than 72 employees completed approximately 700 training hours to achieve the 2nd level of certification, the Giti Yellow Belt of Sustainability.

Across both China and Indonesia, Giti continues to promote the conseration of local flora and biodiversity. The efforts to conserve trees goes beyond the aesthetic and economic benefits, but also builds towards Giti's ability to deliver net zero products to the market through in-house sequestration of carbon that is generated during manufacturing. In 2024, Giti's Anhui factory successfully transplanted a total of 55 trees to the area near dormitory buildings in the new plant. This included 4 red-leaf plum trees, 27 osmanthus trees, and 10 crape myrtle trees, significantly enhancing the ecological environment of the new factory.
In Indonesia, the Bunder Arboretum is one of the Company’s green open spaces. Located approximately 5 km from the factory, in Pasir Jaya Village, it spans over 5 hectares of land, where more than 14,300 trees of various species have been planted. In 2024, there were 20,835 seedlings produced and 15,319 new trees planted in the Arboretum.
