Giti Engineering Excellence Earns BMW iX1 and iX2 OE Nomination
Giti Tire has secured original equipment (OE) nominations on the all-electric BMW iX1 and BMW iX2, marking another significant milestone in the company's growing OEM portfolio and demonstrating the strength of its global engineering and development capabilities.

The approved fitment, GitiSynergy H3, supplied in size 245/40 R20 99Y XL, was developed to meet BMW Group's demanding performance, efficiency, and sustainability requirements for its latest electric vehicle platforms.
Engineered to deliver exceptionally low rolling resistance and reduced noise levels, the tyre also provides extended wear life, an aerodynamic sidewall design, and achieves the highest EU Wet Grip label rating of A. GitiSynergy H3 will carry the * symbol on the sidewall, signifying BMW Group homologation in accordance with the manufacturer's OE specifications.
This latest nomination further strengthens Giti Tire's relationship with BMW Group, following previous OE approvals for the BMW 1 Series and MINI models.
Nicolas Kluson, Key Account Manager Europe OE for Giti Tire, said:
"BMW Group's homologation programme required a tyre capable of achieving very low rolling resistance without compromising vehicle dynamics and handling performance. Successfully meeting these requirements demonstrates the advanced engineering capabilities within Giti Tire's global R&D network.
"As vehicle manufacturers continue to place greater emphasis on sustainability alongside performance, our engineering teams remain focused on developing solutions that support the evolving needs of electric mobility while delivering the driving characteristics expected by leading automotive brands."
The project was led by Giti Tire's European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, Germany, with validation and testing conducted at the company's MIRA proving ground in the UK, as well as key test locations in Germany and Spain.
Development was supported by AdvanZtech, Giti Tire's globally integrated research and development platform, which combines expertise from the company's international network of R&D centres, testing facilities, and engineering teams. The nomination highlights Giti Tire's continued investment in advanced tyre technologies and its ability to deliver OE solutions that meet the increasingly complex requirements of modern electric vehicles.
