The countdown is officially underway as the world-famous Nürburgring 24-Hour race prepares to roar into action from 14 May, bringing together elite teams, global motorsport fans, and some of the most exciting racing talent on the endurance calendar.
Among the key names taking center stage this year is Giti Tire, continuing its strong involvement in one of the world’s toughest endurance racing events through its long-standing partnership with WS Racing. Set against the backdrop of the legendary “Green Hell,” the event promises high-intensity action, innovation, and a powerful showcase of diversity and sustainability in motorsport.
This year’s edition receives an additional boost in global attention with the presence of Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen, whose participation is expected to draw international audiences and elevate the visibility of the Nürburgring endurance series to new heights.
At the heart of Giti’s involvement is the groundbreaking “Girls Only – Ready to Rock the Green Hell” project. Competing in the AT2 class, the team will field the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, car number 146, driven by Carrie Schreiner, Janina Schall, and Fabienne Wohlwend. The entry not only highlights top-level female racing talent but also reinforces a strong commitment to sustainability.
In a major step toward greener endurance racing, the Porsche will run on environmentally friendly fuel supplied by “German eFuel One, sponsored by the eFuels Forum,” demonstrating how motorsport innovation can contribute to a more sustainable future.
