Giti Tire is pleased to be welcomed as the newest member of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA). Giti Tire CEO and President Enki Tan was elected to the organization’s Board of Directors.
The unanimous approval took place at the organization’s annual spring meeting in Washington DC in early April.
USTMA is the national trade association for tire manufacturers that produce tires in the US. It strengthens the reputation and competitiveness of the tire industry and its members in the country, by focusing on safety, sustainability, economy, and innovation. Giti is the 12th member of the organization, joining other top global tire brands.
“We are pleased to have Giti join our organization,” said Anne Forristall Luke, USTMA President and CEO. “Giti’s investment in adding operations in the U.S. is a demonstration of the strength and appeal of this market.”
The announcement comes as Giti Tire continues the expansion of its newly opened manufacturing facility in Chester County, South Carolina. The production center joins the company’s existing factories in China and Indonesia, giving Giti a truly global manufacturing presence. All of the facilities have the same mission of quality and sustainability, making Giti a strong fit with the vision of USTMA.
