GITI TIRE MOTORSPORT by WS RACING delivered a solid performance at the 57th ADAC Barbarossapreis, the ninth round of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS). The team fielded four cars in three fiercely competitive classes and achieved strong results on the demanding Nürburgring Nordschleife. One day later, the team fielded four cars in the Nürburgring Circuit Challenge.

The duo of Carrie Schreiner and Janina Schall impressed with strong pace in the BMW M4 GT4 of 'Girls only – Ready to rock the Green Hell'. After a promising fourth place in qualifying, they achieved a respectable fifth place in the SP8T class. Over 26 laps, they set their fastest race lap in 8:42.414 minutes. With fifth place, Janina Schall defended her lead in the NLS Ladies Trophy.

The three young ladies' first outing in the 'Girls Only Talent Pool' was also successful. Elena Egger, Carmen Kraav, and Julia Ponkratz finished the race in ninth place in their class. Egger escaped a moment of shock: In the high-speed Schwedenkreuz section, she spun and lightly touched the barrier, but was able to continue the race.

The sister car, driven by 'Lutz Horst,' 'Ingo Horst,' and Emil Christian Gjerdrum, finished directly behind in tenth place. In the hotly contested BMW M240i class, Jan Ullrich, Thomas Ehrhardt, and Niklas Ehrhardt secured fifth place.

"Our girls delivered another strong performance, allowing Janina to defend her lead in the women's standings," says team principal Matthias Möller. "The premiere of the 'Girls Only Talent Pool' was also a complete success. Two of the three drivers had little previous experience in the Green Hell. Given this background, all three performed very well. With the Talent Pool, we have created a solid foundation for further expanding the proportion of women in the NLS. Last but not least, ADAC GT Masters driver Emil completed seven laps without any problems and has now completed half of the laps required for the Permit Nordschleife."

Following the successful outing in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series on Saturday, the following day saw the continuation of the Nürburgring Circuit Challenge. Three drivers from China gained their first experience in a racing car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife during the performance test. Chan Chien Shang Sean and Chan Chun Leung Victor finished eleventh and twelveth in the RL2A class after 15 laps. Weiqi Lu missed the classification with 13 laps. Marian Möller and Elena Egger finished fourth in the Cup 2 class.

The season finale, the 1st NLS Sportwarte Trophy, will take place on October 11. The race will cover the usual four-hour distance.
