On September 25, the Philippines Giti Formula V1 Race Challenge kicked off at the Clark International Speedway, Pampanga. Following a one-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 situation, the series marks the return of adrenaline-filled physical races for aspiring racers all over the country, with the opportunities to make it big globally.
The Giti-sponsored Formula V1 series, the first homegrown formula series in the Philippines, first started up in 2018 and is now considered to be the highest form of motorsports currently available in the country. Giti provides GTR1 tires for all of the vehicles, as well as branding on the participating cars and track itself.
The venue, Clark International Speedway, is the host to the majority of the Formula V1 Race events. It is a 4.189km speedway located in Clark Freeport Zone, with 18 turns and runs in a counter clockwise direction. The first corner from the main straight has an uphill climb where the exciting scramble for positions happens at the start of every race.
The exciting championship round will commence on December 5 and 6, 2021. All action can be viewed on partner Tuason Racing’s Facebook page and Instagram accounts, as well as updates on Giti's social media.
